Mergers and acquisitions

Sell your life's work without selling in a hurry.

We handle the sale, purchase or merger of your company, from the first figure to closing. The market sees the business, not your name. And we only get paid when the deal closes.

The first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Sound familiar?

Selling a company is not placing an advert.

Those who try alone usually run into the same four walls. And each one costs money on the final price.

The figure is in your head, not in the accounts

Owners ask for what they feel the company is worth. The buyer pays what can be justified. It is in that gap that deals die, as early as the second meeting.

Everyone finds out

One advert, one conversation in the wrong place, and the team, the customers and the competition know before there is a buyer. The company loses value while it is for sale.

One interested party turns up. Just one.

With no alternative on the table, the buyer dictates the price and the timing. And knows it perfectly well.

Due diligence catches you unprepared

Unsigned contracts, untidy accounts, everything depending on the owner. Every surprise the buyer finds turns into a discount.

A company is sold once. A discount accepted in a hurry is never won back.

What we do for you

What gets done, on your side of the table.

A process run to sell at the right value, to the right buyer, without the market knowing who is selling.

A valuation that holds up

A value range built from the accounts, the assets, the contracts and what the market has paid for similar companies.

Blind summary

Sector, size and figures, with no name or address. This is what goes to the market, and nothing more.

Hand-picked buyers

Companies in the sector that grow by acquisition, investors, people who want to buy themselves a job. We choose who we show it to.

Confidentiality before the name

Anyone who wants to see the rest signs a confidentiality agreement first. Only then do they learn which company it is.

Due diligence prepared

What a buyer will ask for, put in order before they ask, so that nothing turns into a last-minute discount.

Negotiation through to closing

Offers compared side by side, terms negotiated and the timetable kept until signing.

How it works

Four steps, and at each one you know what is going on.

The first one costs nothing. The rest only happen if they make sense for you.

  1. Step

    We sit down

A private conversation. We listen to the business, the figure you have in mind and the timing that suits you. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

  2. Step

    We value

Accounts for recent years, assets, contracts and market comparables. The result is a range that holds up, not a magic number.

  3. Step

    We search

A blind summary goes to investors and buyers in Europe, Brazil and Asia. The name only appears once confidentiality has been signed.

  4. Step

    We close

Offers on the table, due diligence supported and negotiation through to closing. Only then do we get paid.

Who it is for

We are the right choice if…

It makes sense to talk if:

  • You want to sell in the next one to two years and have not started preparing.
  • You have no successor in the family or the team, and you want the company to carry on.
  • A partner wants out and nobody knows what the shares are worth.
  • You want to buy a company to grow faster than you would on your own.

We are not for you if:

  • You need to sell this week, at any price.
  • You want to put the company's name out in the open to see what turns up.
  • You are only looking for a listing on a business-for-sale portal.
FAQ

What people ask us before going ahead.

Do I pay anything upfront?
No. The first conversation and the initial valuation cost nothing. We only get paid when the deal is completed, and the terms are agreed before we start.
Will my employees find out the company is for sale?
Not from us. What goes to the market is a blind summary: sector, size and figures, with no name, no address, nothing that identifies the company. Your name only appears after the interested party signs a confidentiality agreement.
How long does it take to sell a company?
Between six and twelve months, from the first figure to closing. Some deals are quicker and some years are bad. We tell you in the first conversation which case yours is.
How do you sell a company?
In four steps. First we sit down, at no cost, to hear about the business, the figure you have in mind and the timing that suits you. Then we value it: accounts, assets, contracts and market comparables. Next a blind summary goes to investors and buyers, and the name only appears once confidentiality is signed. Finally we follow the offers, the due diligence and the negotiation through to closing.
How much is my company worth?
It depends on the accounts, the assets, the contracts and what the market has paid for similar companies. For a first idea, use the valuation simulator, which takes three minutes. For a figure that stands up in front of a buyer, ask for a company valuation.
Who are the buyers?
Companies in the same sector that grow by acquisition, investors looking for a return and individuals who want to buy themselves a job. The profile changes the price and changes life for the team after the sale. That is why we choose who we show it to.
What if I change my mind halfway through?
Then you stop. There is no endless exclusivity and no penalty for changing your mind. The decision to sell is yours, and so is the timing.
Do you also help with buying a company?
Yes. We look for companies that fit what you want, value them before an offer is made and support the negotiation. Choose “Buy or invest” in the form.
